Dairy Products stocks rallied on Thursday as consumers turned to products such as milk, yogurt and cheese to feed their families.
The sector was boosted by the government’s decision to allow dairy producers to sell the products to the public.
Shares in Dairy Products rose more than 9% on Thursday, helped by an announcement from the Indian government to allow the sale of the products in India.
Shares of dairy producer Unilever rose more a more than 3% to $9.99, boosted in part by the announcement of the dairy products ban.
The stock jumped nearly 7% to a record high on Thursday.
