Dairy production jobs are growing in the U.S., and with that comes a surge in demand for people who can help produce the products.
While it can be challenging to find a job in the dairy industry, you can still get a job if you have the right education and experience, and that’s what the Agri-Dairy Professionals Association is looking for in an entry-level position in dairy production.
In fact, the group is hiring for a position with a $40,000 salary and benefits package, including up to 20 hours of on-site work a week.
In addition, the job will include opportunities to work with producers and manage operations.
The association is looking to hire for a role that will involve a high level of knowledge and experience in the production of dairy products.
“The field of dairy is booming in the United States, and the demand for the position is so high that the position has been growing since the last recession,” said David Stiles, president of the association.
“With the rise of the dairy-to-dairy transition, the opportunity to be a dairy production worker is at an all-time high.”
For those who want to make the transition from a factory to a processing plant, the Agripower Group, a provider of plant-based dairy products for consumers, is also hiring.
In a position similar to the one the Agricultural Labor Council is looking at, the position will require workers to operate a facility in addition to manufacturing and packing products, such as milk, cheese and yogurt.
“It’s an exciting opportunity to work for a dairy that’s at the forefront of a sustainable future for our nation,” said Julie McQuaid, a vice president with the Agribusiness, Foodservice, and Consumer Products Association.
The Agri Dairy Professionals association has more than 7,500 members, according to its website.
